Hawkwood Community Association's Annual General Meeting is November 26, 2024.

The HCA Board has some vacancies to fill for the 2024/2025 term and we'd love to have you join our returning members.  Have a look at the information on the vacant positions below and reach out to Michele at president@hawkwoodca.com if you have any additional questions or interest in serving your community in this capacity. The Board will hold an orientation/planning meeting in January, so this is a great time to join us!

Newsletter Editor

• Monthly request for articles from Board and Committee members.
• Copyedit all articles (grammar, usage, spelling, punctuation, and other mechanics of style)
• Edit articles, as required, to conform to HCA's purpose and goals.
• Write articles of interest to community as space permits.
• Provide material (electronic and hard copies) to publisher.

Director at Large (2 vacancies)

•    Great position for learning more about serving on a Board.
•    Collaborate with other Board members on initiatives and projects.
•    Willingness to serve on committees as required.

Technology Services Director

• Oversee HCA's information technology requirements
• Provide technical support to Board and Committee members as required.
• Manage HCA's digital information
• Experience with Microsoft Teams, Webflow or other web development platforms an asset

Time Commitment for above positions:

• Attend 10 meetings during the year (9 monthly board meetings and the AGM, scheduled on the last Tuesday of the month, except July and December)
• Represent the Board at HCA events as required (1-2 events/year)
• Averages about 3-5 hours/month
