Beginner skills: gain confidence on skates and on the ice, learn to fall and get up safely. Work on balance, walking and stopping on skates. This level is for new or non-confident skaters. Register: https://hawkwoodca.getcommunal.com/member/parent_programs/1610
Novice skills: Choose this level if you can stay upright on skates, and have some confidence in pushing and gliding. You have a basic knowledge of stopping and gliding, along with falling and standing up completely without support. Participants grouped into beginner (younger), beginner (older) and novice with 8-10 participants per instructor.
Cost: $15 per participant for HCA members/$25 for non-member
Participants are required to wear a hockey or multi-purpose helmet.
Participants must bring their own skates.
If lessons are cancelled because of weather, you will be offered an alternative date, refund or credit.
